WestPACS Mission
The Western Pennsylvania Career Services Association (WestPACS) is an
independent, non-profit consortium of career services professionals
representing the member community colleges, colleges, and universities of
Western Pennsylvania. The expressed purpose of the consortium is to
sponsor annual job fairs for the students and alumni of member institutions and
other student-oriented programs. It is hoped that WestPACS will also
enhance and encourage professional development among its members.
WestPACS is
the premier job fair for college students and graduates in Pittsburgh and
western Pennsylvania. The WestPACS College Job and Internship Fair provides
students with many different opportunities.
Frequently,
students attend the fair to find out more about the types of entry-level jobs
available for their majors such as engineering, business, marketing, computer
technology, information science, criminal justice, human services and
healthcare. Others are actively seeking internships in marketing, sales,
administrative, human resources, communication, engineering, information
technology, management or finance. Still others attend the job fair as recent
alumni or students about to graduate that are looking to begin or advance their
current careers in regional Pittsburgh companies and other nationally
recognized employers.
WestPACS also offers many chances for job
seekers to interact face-to-face with recruiters from industries such as
banking, manufacturing, retail, high tech and many government agencies. This
spring, 100 employers are expected to attend with over 1200 job seekers
anticipated. Visit our online directory for more information: http://www.westpacs.org/participating.aspx.
